Tangled Redemption, book 4 in the Celestial Surrender series, is out in the world and this is my final snippet. I hope you enjoyed Sydney, Miguel and Jayden’s adventure.
Last week Jayden put the moves on Sydney and I had a few questions about Miguel. I hope this snippet, which is a little way after last week’s, will give you a taste;). We’re in Jayden’s POV.
“All right,” Jayden rubbed his hands together, “So, what should we do first?”
“First you will undress Sydney. Then you will lay her out on the bed and feast on her until you have brought her to pleasure three times.”
Jayden frowned at Calatrave. “Who has gone and made you king?”
The other Vampire didn’t respond but walked—no strode—to a large, surprisingly comfortable looking chair at the foot end of the bed and sat down, his fingers steepled beneath his chin, for all intents and purpose looking like a master waiting for his minions to fall in line.
Jayden paused. Maybe that was it.”
If you’re NaNo-ing this month all the best. Have an amazing week and as always Happy Writing!
Here is the blurb:
Sydney Radnall is no man’s toy, despite fate’s attempt to make her just that. A kidnapping puts her at the mercy of a sadistic Feral commander. Being held prisoner is bad enough, but her Naema blood is powerful. In her current Vampiric company her presence is like ringing a dinner bell.
In an attempt to break the commander makes her the pet of two of his lieutenants. Miguel is one of the most dangerous men she has ever met, but she can’t stop the attraction blazing between them. Then there is Jayden, a Vampire who is as surprising as he is sexy. Two Vampires she should not be attracted to, should not want to surrender to, should not trust.
But things aren’t always what they seem. Secrets and lies shadow their connections, making it impossible to see clearly. What are the chances of her finding lifemates while surrounded by enemies? And making the wrong decision could not just shatter her heart. It could cost her life.

Last week Jayden challenged Miguel to seduce Sydney as voluntary submission was far more erotic than force. Sydney is off balance and unsure what is going on, but the cold ball of fear that had curled tight in her stomach finally releases. She is about to discover that Jayden has a few moves. We are in her point of view and Jayden speaks first.
“Let me show you.”
Distracted by Jayden’s smile and the way he didn’t seem to take anything seriously she didn’t see him move. He wrapped both arms around her, pulled her close against his chest and kissed her.
His lips were firm but soft. Where she had expected coercion she got seduction. His lips teased her; force she could have fought, but his approach left her helpless to fend off. It had been too long since she had kissed a man. And Jayden was a formidable kisser who left her hungry for more.
I have started on my next WIP, a steampunk novella (that’s the planned length, but my books tend to end up longer than expected a lot of the times;) set in the same world as my upcoming Christmas novella Dirigibles Are Forever. My outline is incredibly detailed: The hero and villain talk. Things happen. The Black Moment approaches. I may have to think a little more before I start on those scenes;). It’s nice to be writing again and my heroine Vanessa intrigues me to no end. I’ll start sharing once I have a few words down.

I’d planned to move on to new project, but then I realised that Tangled Redemption, book 4 in the Celestial Surrender series, releases in a week and a half and decided to continue sharing for a couple more weeks;).
Today’s snippet is a few pages after last week’s. Sydney, now Miguel and Jayden’s “pet” finds herself alone in a room with them, but things are not as she anticipated. We are in her point of view.
“How is this going to work?” Their behavior did not match her expectations. Where she’d anticipated force she’d found calm.
Jayden took her hand and she let him. “I know Nasir—and you—expected our encounter to be filled with violence,” he shook his head. “I find voluntary submission much more erotic.” He turned to Miguel, “Don’t you?” Challenge echoed through his words despite his even tone.
Tangled Redemption releases next Wednesday and I’m hugely excited (and somewhat stressed out;).
The last couple of months have been exhausting. If you have any suggestions on how to clear your mind and refocus your attention please share. I need all the help I can get;).

Teachers’ Pets Event and Give-Away!
I am part of this fabulous group of ladies. We are all authors and we all like our books on the naughty side, which is why we have a blog called “Nice Girls Writing Naughty” with monthly events and parties.
We also have a Facebook group where nothing is taboo and man candy is part of the every day timelines;). Come over and join us!
This month Dakota Trace is hosting our party and she talked us all into turning our heroes into our very own Teacher’s Pets…not that it took very much convincing.
Check in with all of us for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. And every author is also giving away a prize on their blog. I am giving away a copy of Tangled Redemption or another book of mine of your choice. The publication date is October 22nd. The contest ends Sunday September 28th at midnight.
Now, please let me introduce Miguel Calatrave, also known as the Spaniard. He is a Vampire and one of the heroes of Tangled Redemption. Miguel is in a tough position and when Sydney and Jayden step onto the stage things get even more interesting.
1. When I graduated high school I was voted the most likely to take over the galaxy. They weren’t too far off.
2. Growing up I wanted to be a doctor. You could say things didn’t turn out as planned.
3. On Friday nights you’d have found me in the library studying or in the dojo woking toward my next Dan.
4. The hottest teacher at Escola Reina Elisenda was Senora Renata Galarza and she taught Science. It’s difficult to look amazing in goggles, but she always pulled it off. The tight white lab coat didn’t hurt either.
5. In High School I was the president of the Science Club. In college I moved on to computers. A couple of friends and I developed a MMOG and had a lot of fun. Turned out we knew what we were doing and sold it.
Tangled Redemption is book 4 in the Celestial Surrender series. You will be able to read Miguel’s story from October 22nd 2014. I don’t have a cover yet, but here is the blurb:

My Writing Process Blog Tour
Friend and fellow author Joan Leacott has invited me to speak about my process on the My Writing Process Blog Tour.
1) What am I working on?
I am currently working on Tangled Redemption, book 4 in the Celestial Surrender series. Sydney, a Naema we first meet in Tangled Hunger, gets into a spot of trouble with the Spaniard, a character I have mentioned a number of times in all three books. And then Jayden appears on the scene and makes both of them pay attention.
2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?
My universe is ruled by Vampires, Naemas and Humans. I have Vampires in space;). They are just another species that follows some of the Vampire myths, but I also bring new twists to the genre. Naemas are part angel, part demon, who have to face their own challenges. And then there are Humans, who have to live in a universe where they are physically weaker, but stand out through sheer numbers and by being savvy.
3) Why do I write what I do?
I like to make s*** up and not be limited. Although I try to stick to reality, I love that if I want it to rain gum balls, I can make it rain gum balls. I am the Queen of my very own Galaxy;).
4) How does your writing process work?
I usually start with either a situation or a character. For example Rescue by Ruin started with Beatrice climbing aboard a dirigible of ill-repute to ruin her reputation. Then Things Happen.
After that I discover my character’s back story. Why? Why? Why? Goal, motivation and conflict are key. The next step is an outline. I just need to know the key steps. What happens between them the characters tell me. For my last project, Sexy Steampunk 2, the sequel to Rescue by Ruin, I put each scene on a post-it note and lined them up on the wall. That way I could remove one every time I finished a scene. I haven’t yet done this yet for Tangled Redemption, but I may do so next;).
This is me in my somewhat chaotic and still evolving nutshell.
Next Monday discover the process of two of my friends.
