From Prussia With Love Release Day and Give-Away!
Woohoo! Today From Prussia With Love, book 1 in the Victoria’s Secret Agents series, release from Loose Id. A super-sexy steampunk novel with a touch of BDSM and loads of swashbuckling fun. It is set in the same world as Dirigibles Are Forever and Holly and Jack make an appearance.
Clara Redbeck has one goal: to prove to the sods at work—and to herself—that the best man for the job can be a woman. To do that, she must prevent a traitor from blowing London to bits. If only the dashing first mate of the dirigible she’d been tasked to plunder didn’t set her aflame.
Garrett Dewhurst has one goal: to execute the coup of a lifetime. His plans do not include a spanking dalliance with the most intriguing woman he has ever met.
With each encounter, the fire between them burns hotter and their need grows stronger. Finally, the cramped cabin aboard the Bismarck becomes their intimate playground, where Garrett introduces Clara to the pleasure of submission and they explore their passion in every way possible.
Clara and Garrett want a future together, but each holds a secret that if revealed could cost them everything. When danger closes in, they have to choose between protecting themselves or the whole of London.
To celebrate the release I’m giving away a steampunk necklace and a pair of earrings from Overman.
For a chance to win follow me on Twitter (@TinaChristopher) and tweet about the release and the contest using #FromPrussiaWithLove. Or comment on this post and tell me your favourite James Bond movie and why you love it. Each will give you one entry into the contest, which is open worldwide. The contest runs until 12pm EST Sunday August 30th, 2015.
I have to say my favourite is probably Goldeneye with Pierce Brosnan and Sean Bean. I love the action and the characters and it’s one of the few Bond movies where the plot holes are on the smaller side;). When I worked at Harrods in London I met Pierce Brosnan and he was just wonderful. A complete gentleman and very sweet when a little boy (probably around 6 years) asked him if he was James Bond.
Weekend Writing Warriors-Rescue by Ruin Snippet 9
Welcome to the Weekend Writing Warriors. Each Sunday we share 8 sentences from a current or finished manuscript. Click here for the rest of the amazing writers participating.
Today I have the final snippet from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story. Bea and Vaughn escaped the AirPirates and Lord Waldon and withdrew to Vaughn’s house where they shared some alone time. They were just getting to the juicy bits when they are interrupted by Gerrard, the butler.
“Sir, it appears that your expectations were indeed correct. Lord Waldon decided to visit, but due to the late hour he chose to come through the back door and be accompanied by four automatons; rather large automatons.”
Vaughn came to attention. “Are you and the rest of the staff all right?” Bea came to stand beside him; he held the receiver so she could hear what Gerrard had to say.
“Certainly, sir, the rest of the staff has left and your AetherBomb worked just as you planned. No machinery works inside the radius. It is as if an invisible shield surrounds me; two of his Lordship’s automatons attempted to come through, but just froze and then deactivated.”
Happy Sunday and Happy Writing.
Forced to marry a violent man, Beatrice knows only one way out—ruin her reputation. She climbs aboard the Venia, a dirigible of ill repute, for a masquerade. Bea does not expect to run into Vaughn Kemple, the third Duke of Missenden, who eight months ago left her without an explanation. Feeling secure behind her mask, she decides Vaughn will be the one to ruin her. She may not get to spend forever with this man she still loves, but at least she can have one night of pleasure.
But a mask is not enough to hide her identity. Vaughn recognizes Bea, shocked to find her aboard an airship where sexual freedom isn’t just a thought, it’s celebrated. But her actions are far from innocent. Captivated, he’s determined to make her his.
The heat between them flares, but Vaughn is torn between desire and honor. Bea is afraid to risk her heart on a man she can’t trust. And when her future husband arrives on the scene, it’s more than their hearts in danger.
Buy it from Ellora’s Cave, Amazon or Kobo.

Today I have another snippet from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story. Bea and Vaughn escaped the AirPirates in a dashing flight filled with swash and buckle. Now they are back on the ground and Bea has to decide on what she wants to do next.
“He studied her face. “Is that really what you want? Don’t you think we have a few things to talk about, Beatrice?”
Bea wanted to curl her cheek into the warmth of his hand. His eyes, even covered by goggles, held a need and a vulnerability she couldn’t ignore. Nor could she ignore the demand inside herself to spend more time with this exciting and fascinating man.
And they had to talk about how to move on from this tenuous position.
She nodded.”
I am currently enjoying the beautiful sunshine on St. Croix. Here is the view from my window:

Weekend Writing Warriors-Rescue by Ruin Part 7
Welcome to the Weekend Writing Warriors. Click here for the rest of the amazing writers participating.
Today I have another snippet from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story. Bea and Vaughn are under attack from AirPirates and the man Bea is desperately trying to get away from. They’d slid into a secret compartment in the wall and are now trying to sneak away without being found. As always, please excuse my use of semicolons;).
“Vaughn gently nudged against her heels with the tip of his shoe; she narrowed her gaze at him; he stood on tiptoes; she nodded and did the same.
Slowly, with great care, Vaughn began to move backward, Bea tucked against his chest; she followed his every move, cautious not to drop her heels onto the wooden floor.
“Did you idiots let her slip through your fingers? Did the little bitch sneak past you?” The sound of flesh hitting flesh echoed through the narrow passageway.
Bea grabbed his shirt and paused for a moment; he nuzzled her cheek and her sensitive earlobe. “He won’t get you, I promise.” His breath teased a few strands of her hair curling around her ear; the tension did not leave her completely, but she nodded and loosened her grip.”
Sexy Steampunk 2 is done and with my editior. Now I am working through the outline of Sexy Steampunk 3, but the heroine is giving me trouble. Why has she done what she has done? Why would she risk everything the way she is doing? Let’s just say at the moment she is intriguing and mysterious;).
Happy Sunday and Happy Writing.

Weekend Writing Warriors-Rescue by Ruin Part 6

Today I have another snippet from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story. After all the smexy stuff we’ve had over the last few weeks here is a bit of action. Bea and Vaughn were just about to get up, close and personal in one of the cabins, when they are rather rudely interrupted by AirPirates. But these are no average pirates.
“At each cabin, the pirates dragged its female occupant before the man in black; each time he shook his head. The pirates pushed the women and some of the men who’d attempted protection back into their cabins.
“For God’s sake, how fucking difficult can it be to find one lousy female dressed in red with a ruby face mask?” roared the man.
Vaughn recognized him and refused to call the bastard a gentleman.
Anger and disgust curled in his stomach. He hated the other man and wanted nothing more than to storm out there and beat him to a pulp.
But that wouldn’t do. Not now.
He gently closed the door and turned to Bea: “Can you think of a reason why Lord Waldon is ravaging the Venia in an attempt to find you?””
I am so close to finishing the edits on Sexy Steampunk 2 I can nearly touch it. Of course that means I have to write the synopsis, but for once I don’t mind because it means I am DONE! Happy Sunday and Happy Writing.

Weekend Writing Warriors-Rescue by Ruin Part 5

Today I have another snippet from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story. It continues on directly from where last week’s snippet ended. While indulging their mutual attraction Beatrice realised that watching the other couples, and one of the triads in particular, heightened her senses. Now it is up to Vaughn to discover if it was only the shock of a new experience or if she is indeed a voyeur. I apologise for my creative punctuation;).
“Bea looked back at the trio, “But I’ve never see the like before, so I cannot really judge.”
The soldier still steadied the woman, but his hands were now below her skirts. She could judge his actions only by the milkmaid’s response; it was eager and demanding enough to make Bea believe he did what the woman wanted.
Vaughn slowly lowered Bea’s legs until she slid down his body; he kept his arm around her waist and turned her, pressing her back to his front. It was as if she stood before a bonfire-his heat enveloped her and the brand of his erection against her derriere stoked the flames inside her.
He nestled his cheek against hers and stroked his free hand down her corset and hips; and up again; and down again. On his third pass he stopped to cuddle her breast and tease her nipple; Bea bowed her back and pushed her breast more firmly into his hand. “I wouldn’t want you to leave until you can make an unbiased judgment; we will watch until you are certain.”
Happy Sunday! And to anyone out there who, like me, is waging war in the editing cave “Good Luck!”.

Today I have another snippet from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story, for you. Beatrice and Vaughn are exploring their connection. The gatherings on the Venia are like none other, filled with sensuality and a freedom of expression found nowhere else. The things happening in the ball room open Beatrice’s eyes to a whole new world. And they teach her something about herself she hadn’t known before.
“The wildfire flared back to life between her legs.
Vaughn paused and studied her face. Color bloomed on her cheeks and she dragged her eyes away from the spectacle before her.
A dark smile lifted his lips. “You like to watch.”
For a moment Bea struggled with her answer, but then she touched her mask and remembered he would never know her as her true self. She didn’t have to hide behind a façade of respectability.
She teased his cheek with the lightest touch of her fingertips, once again wishing she no longer wore her silk gloves and could feel his skin against hers, “I believe I do.”
Happy Sunday!

Today I have another snippet from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story, for you. Beatrice and Vaughn are currently on the Venia, a dirigible of ill-repute, and he has asked her to dance. Due to their location things are not quite as you would find them in any other ballroom. Please forgive my over-use of semicolons;).
“No one knew who she was; in this moment propriety no longer restricted her. Yes, before she left she needed to remove her mask and find a way to be recognized, but that wasn’t her priority right now.
Making memories was.
Bea slowly moved her hand until she caressed his nape with her fingertips. For a moment she wished her gloves off, wished to experience the feel of him directly against her flesh. His muscles bunched beneath her touch; he spread his palm on the middle of her lower back. Butterflies danced through her stomach. Vaughn and her separated slightly and their gazes met.”
Thank you for stopping by. I am currently neck deep in edits for DbD, the sequel to Rescue by Ruin, which means I won’t be online a lot.
Have a wonderful first weekend in January 2014.

Weekend Writing Warriors Snippet!
I hope you are enjoying the pre-Christmas days and having some fun!
Today I have the opening paragraphs from Rescue by Ruin, a Victorian steampunk story, for you. Click here for the rest of the amazing writers participating in the Weekend Writing Warriors.
“Miss Beatrice Viola Trevan tugged on her coat to ensure it covered her scandalous clothes. Glad her shimmering golden evening gloves hid her sweaty palms she tweaked the somewhat uncomfortable red and gold mask hiding the upper half of her face. She exhaled and walked toward one of the many gangplanks leading up to the Venia, the airship tethered in Hyde Park.
The airship was one of the new SkyCat models, meaning two pontoons ran the length of the passenger floor, making the airship appear like a resting cat from the front or the back.
Beatrice walked onto the gangplank, but then stopped at the edge, letting the traffic flow past her. The wooden plank vibrated under the other guests’ steps, their laughter and echo of their voices filled the air around her. The coaches stopping behind her to release more guests hissed and rumbled, their steam engines panting.
Beatrice’s heart pounded, her throat was dry.”
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and fabulous next week!
